She wanted to have some "fancy drinks like at the restaurants." And I was totally down. The New Buck (named because Emily became Mrs. Jonathan Buck in January) was born.
We mixed up the beverages willy-nilly in rocks glasses with one big ice cube (love the Tovolo King Cube Ice Tray, we have two and I'd love to have 20 more). I'd guess the mix went something like this, at first (we decreased the booze amounts and increased the ginger ale amounts as the night went on, we're way responsible like that):
- 1 part cucumber vodka (I'm about 90% sure she brought Crop Organic, I'm 100% sure whatever we had was organic)
- 1 part Pimm's
- 2 parts ginger ale
Add ice to rocks glass. Add booze. Top with ginger ale. Mix. Sip like the classy beast you are.
I typically think of Pimm's as a winter liquor, but mixed with crispy cucumber vodka it's totally refreshing and aces for the spring/summer.
