We built it to our client's very specific specifications. It's exactly the same height and creamy white color as the couch that surrounds it. It's round, but not wide (the client didn't want it to be very big at all, it's more a showpiece in a formal living room than a heavy use table in a den). It features cabriole legs and fancy feet - mimicking and matching the style of the other, older, tables in the room. The legs and feet are eye catching, but not toe catching - the client asked us to make sure they wouldn't poke out at all, very logical when grandchildren frequently overrun the home. The top features a roundover edge with a small lip. Finally, there's a small, but very useful shelf for additional storage built into the ankles of the cabriole legs. This is a bit of a twist on the traditional cabriole design, but our client is an avid reader of home decor magazines, so we're sure this space will be well used.
The table is 20" tall and 27" wide, with a shelf around 4" from the floor. We used oak for the tabletop so it will stand the test of time as well as furniture paint that will stand up to impacts and spills.
